The "Modern forehand" Power and control, being able to move your opponent from side to side and be in control of the middle of the court, keep the following in mind:
  • The grip is in between a eastern and semi western
  • Use your non-hitting arm to push your racquet towards the back fence
  • As you turn sideways your racquet face will be facing the side fence
  • Let go the racquet with your non-hitting arm, creating the momentum to hit the ball
  • Start your rotation using your hips, notice that the racquet speed will happened naturally forward across the body
